The Art of Conversation: Bringing people together through communication and conversation.

How we communicate and interact with others is vital to our success in everything that we do, including changing the world. In this workshop Lillah shares how this soft skill can be used in all areas of our lives with a focus on mindset, emotional intelligence, resilience and its power to create a safe space for life’s uncomfortable conversations. She provides participants with the tools needed to:

  • Seek the why behind the why

  • Removing the discomfort you feel when engaging in conversations with respect DEI

  • De-escalating heightened emotions with respect to uncomfortable conversations

  • Build confidence and feel empowered to have DEI conversations respectfully

AFRO FACTS WORKSHOP

Lillah brings Canadian Black History and impactful storytelling together to share some of the Black History Information that has yet to find its way into the current school curriculum. Participants learn about the history, culture and contributions of people of African descent and the diaspora because Black History is about so much more than slavery. Using the lessons of the past, Lillah is able to facilitate conversations about the steps that need to be taken to grow forward as a community and the role that people and organizations play in brining an end to systemic racism and discrimination.
